Historic Cocoa Village comes alive the first weekend of March each year as artisans, food vendors and musicians gather for the Spring Fine Art and Craft Fair. More than 150 talented exhibitors participated in this year’s event including Joe Vuich.
Joe uses palm fronds he finds laying around his yard to create some amazing works of art. The more distinctive and uniquely-shaped the fronds are, he says, the more interesting the final product. Like many artists, Joe says each piece takes on a life of its own as he works on it. He never knows what the end result will be.
Joe lives in Melbourne and only started palm frond art recently. At this point, he doesn’t have a website, but you can contact him at his email address firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like to know more about his creations.
Hear more about what prompted Joe to start his business in the Snapchat Story posted below. (By the way, the horse featured in the video now resides at our home. We love it!)
Also included in the Snapchat Story is how we spent the rest of our day: a visit to Sugar Shack Donuts, exploring the shops of downtown Melbourne, lunch at Mustard’s Last Stand and ending our road trip at Del’s Freez Ice Cream, a Brevard County institution since 1956.
