A serene and restful experience can be found near the southernmost point in Key West at the KW Butterfly & Nature Conservatory.

Inside the popular attraction, visitors are transported into a tropical environment with an impressive collection of flowering plants, colorful birds and cascading waterfalls. The Conservatory is home to 60 butterfly species from all over the world.

Observe the “flowers of the sky” from a large gazebo or one of the many bridges that span the rippling streams.

An informative Learning Center explores all aspects of the butterfly world, including migration patterns of the beloved Monarch and illustrated information on butterfly anatomy and physiology.

Additionally, visitors can see live caterpillars feeding and watch a 15-minute film describing the life cycle of butterflies.

A well-stocked gift shop has hundreds of butterfly-themed products. The Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory is open daily.
