Orlando-based travel photographer Chris Carr finds inspiration when he looks down. After a rainstorm is optimal.
Carr has been a professional photographer for years. But it wasn’t until a few years ago when he snapped a reflection in a puddle that his creative juices really got flowing.
Now, everywhere he goes, he looks for standing water in unique places. In a parking lot at the grocery store, on a manhole cover at Kennedy Space Center or on the side of the street in downtown Orlando.
His captures are raw and untouched. There’s no Photoshopping the final product.
But each photograph is truly surreal. The images make you step back, look deeper and see things from a different perspective.
