After nearly a year of construction, the Magic Kingdom’s new and improved hub in front of Cinderella’s Castle was unveiled last week. While much of the project is finished, Imagineers are continuing to work on certain details, and guests will still find walls up in a number of places in the Central Plaza area. What is finished is spectacular and really makes a huge difference in crowd flow, one of the primary reasons for the long-needed revamp. Large open areas reminiscent of gardens outside European castles are the perfect place to take a breather during the day and catch the fireworks show at night…if you have reserved your space through FastPass+. Traditional concrete fountains and little statues of beloved Disney characters complete the look.
