At 17, Karegan Wodz is having a major impact on the local music scene in DeLand, Florida. Having produced her first CD in 2014, this talented singer/songwriter is a fan favorite at music festivals and performed with Tim McGraw’s former band, The Dance Hall Doctors, at CMA Fan Fair in Nashville. Karegan taught herself to play guitar and piano, and has a unique sound that’s been influenced by artists like Kelly Clarkson, Paramore and Cassadee Pope.

But she doesn’t want to be categorized as solely a country or pop artist because her music appeals to people of all ages and fans of all genres.

When she’s not on stage or busy studying, Karegan volunteers her time with Tunes for Tots and the Make a Wish Foundation and is active in anti-bullying campaigns and feeds the homeless at her local soup kitchen.

Karegan’s remarkable talent oozes in every note of this acoustic cover of Echosmith’s “Bright.” The video was shot by Cole Young and recorded on-location at Nest, one of our favorite eclectic shops in downtown DeLand.
