A bike trail might be the last place you would expect to find an evolving exhibition of pop art. But that’s exactly what a stretch of the 14-mile Seminole Wekiva Trail in the suburbs of Orlando has turned into over the past four years.
A cabinet maker by the name of Jeff Sonksen is responsible for the “fence art.” Subjects include everyone from movie and music stars to U.S. presidents, cultural heroes and even a few super heroes.
What started as one simple panel along the fence has become a permanent art installation that includes hundreds of panels. And it’s still growing!
We hopped on the path for a closer look at Jeff Sonksen’s Paint the Trail.
