The best burger in the Orlando area can be found at a place that specializes in crafted grilled cheese sandwiches. I have been a fan of Toasted since it opened in Winter Park in February 2013.  I jumped on the bandwagon early and haven’t had reason to jump off yet. The place is always busy, always clean and always exceptional.  The unique grilled cheese combinations are the biggest draw and very tasty. But for me, the winner since day one has been Toasted’s Triple B Burger.

This beauty is grilled to perfection each and every time.  The burger is placed on a locally sourced artisan bun that’s lightly toasted and then topped with melted blue cheese, crumbles of bacon and a couple of blue chips.

It’s the best combination on a burger I’ve ever tasted.

There’s nothing like that first bite.  An instant double-crunch happens from the crispy bun and one of the blue chips.  You then get a taste of the blue cheese and a hint of Applewood smoked bacon.  The flavors and textures work together so well, you don’t want to ruin the experience with additional condiments or vegetables.  It’s perfect the way it’s served.

I never knew something so simple could be so damn good.

In the two and a half years Toasted has been open, I’ve had more Triple B burgers than I care to admit.  And each time, I’m never disappointed.  The burger is always consistent and tastes the same no matter who is in the kitchen.  There’s definitely something to be said for that level of continuity and quality control.

The Triple B sells for $6.75 and is worth every penny.  A second Toasted location is now open in Lake Nona on Narcoossee Road.
